Normally Vietnam is not a place that you would think of taking a vacation. Other than some vague memories of the war, very little is known about this country. Vietnam is a beautiful place with many things to offer world travelers. These are some things you can expect from adventure Vietnam Holidays.

Kite surfing is an activity that has become popular in recent years. Mui Ne is known for its steady winds, low amount of rainfall, beautiful beach, great accommodations and fabulous nightlife. Besides being the perfect spot for advanced kite surfers, courses are offered for beginners and intermediates.

On a cultural tour, you will spend 14 days exploring most of Vietnam’s well known attractions by taking national flights between points of interest. Take a speedboat down the Saigon River and enjoy a Hoi An sunset cruise. You’ll visit the incredible tunnel system at Cu Chi that was used by the communist guerrillas during the war.

Take an 18 day adventure tour that will allow you to see Vietnam as it really is. Bicycle through the city of Hanoi, cruise and paddle in the Halong Bay and spend the night aboard the boat. Hike in the Bach Ma National Park and enjoy overnight camping. Another boat ride down the Mekong River will take you to the Mekong Delta where you can bicycle through its fruit laden valleys.

The Luxury Tour is perfect for a couple that wants to enjoy the upper end of tourism in Vietnam. It starts out in the enchanting city of Saigon and heads into the countryside to the north. Then it’s a flight south to a luxury resort on an isolated peninsula or an island just off the coast of Vietnam for an entire week of relaxation and pampering.

The possibilities of adventure holidays to Vietnam are limitless. Many of the tour companies allow you to put together your own adventure holiday so you can visit the places you want to see. Whichever tour you decide to take, you will thoroughly enjoy your time in Vietnam.

Before to travel to Vietnam make sure to stop by Jose Mauricio Maurette’s website (tailor made holidays) to find out more about Vietnam holidays

The intriguing country of Ireland has been a popular gay vacations since the days when Oscar Wilde called this nation home. Of course, during his time Ireland was not as welcoming and accepting of LGBT folks and many, including Wilde, were jailed or sent off to hard labor camps for what was then termed “indecency.” Sadly, up until 1861, death was considered an acceptable punishment for acts of sodomy, but today Ireland has moved well beyond these dark days and has recently bested the U.S. when it comes to LGBT rights by legalizing same-sex civil unions in 2009, after decriminalizing same-sex behaviors in 1993.

While these significant legal strides might not mean that every village – or even every larger city – is ready to fully embrace same-sex relationships, Ireland has become a rather welcoming country for the most part and is a wonderful choice for gay travel. Many larger cities, such as Galway, Dublin, Cork and Waterford, have active, visible communities, LGBT-owned and LGBT-friendly establishments, and enough attractions and activities to fill an entire trip; however, whether you travel to Ireland solo or with organized gay tours, you will not want to miss the beautiful Irish countryside or the quaint, small villages that are scattered about the landscape or overlooking awe-inspiring coastal cliffs.

There are now many Irish cities that have LGBT organizations, popular hangouts, annual celebrations and a thriving community, but Dublin remains the unquestionable center of Irish LGBT life, making it an absolute must-see during gay travel to Ireland. The nightlife in Dublin is an interesting blend of upscale clubs with dress codes and a casual LGBT pub scene, which allows those on gay vacations to Ireland to experience different aspects of LGBT life in Dublin. Depending on when you arrive, you may also have the opportunity to take part in one of Dublin’s annual community events, including the Dublin Lesbian and Gay Film Festival in July, Dublin International LGBTQ Pride in June, and the popular Dublin Gay Theatre Festival, which takes place each May.

There is always something going on in Dublin, on either a small or large scale, so it is a good idea to pick up a copy of GNC, Ireland’s main community magazine, when you arrive in town. There are many must-see attractions when partaking in gay travel in Dublin, including the Guinness Storehouse, the Old Jameson Distillery, the Hugh Lane Gallery, the Book of Kells, the Oscar Wilde House Museum and Dublin’s quintessential LGBT bar, The George.

Folks planning gay tours should consider partaking in group gay tours to ensure that they do not miss out on the plethora of historical, cultural and natural attractions that this intriguing, romantic nation has to offer.

Post about Ireland authored by Howie Holben. Spirit Journeys presents gay tantra workshops and romantic gay travel.

If you love the look of white lights wrapped around palm trees and poinsettia plants in full bloom then you will love the look of San Diego at Christmastime. San Diego hotel rooms can be found at great rates and it is not too late to book today to experience Christmas in this beautiful city.

No matter what part of town you decide to stay in San Diego is full of life. That is what makes staying here so fun. And not matter where you stay you can easily travel to another part of San Diego by taking the trolley or renting a car and find your own experiences. There is even the trolley that can take you to Mexico for the day if you choose to.

If a beach experience is what you are craving there are several options. You could stay on Coronado and soak up the beaches there and maybe even surf with Santa. Or you could go to Shelter Island or Point Loma for an ocean experience. You could even go a little north to beautiful La Jolla with their beautiful views and rocky beaches.

Crave the holiday city life of shopping and fine dining then choose a hotel in the heart of San Diego. You will find many shopping opportunities and a huge outdoor mall lit in beautiful lights with Christmas music playing all around you. After a day of shopping you can walk to many of the local restaurants or take in a show. Or perhaps listen to some good jazz in the gas lamp district.

Other attractions are close by anywhere you stay in San Diego. There is the world famous zoo and many museums in Balboa Park. They have Holidays on the Prado which has countries around the world showing how they celebrate Christmas. It’s a fun experience to go down to the gas lamp district. There is always something musically going on for any musical taste.

If you want to have a great experience with your children consider driving up about 45 minutes to Carlsbad to take in Legoland and the Aquarium. They are connected and for one ticket you can spend a day exploring the world of Lego. It is fun with rides and experiences for all ages. If you don’t want to drive you can always take the train up the coast easily.

A great experience as well is Old Town. It is decorated for the holidays with street of fair type markets. You can see the historic Old Town and see the roots of how San Diego started. Watch taffy being made and get a margarita as big as your head. There is something for everyone at Old Town.

Booking San Diego hotel rooms this holiday season can be a fun escape with your family or friends and a fun place to spend the holiday season. You will have a lot of fun stuff to do and never run out of great places to dine. Surf or shop the choice is yours.

The capital city of the British Isles, London, has many superb visitor attractions, ranging from the amazingly old to the very young. Most of the visitor attractions are familiar all over the planet (for example, Buckingham Palace, the Tower of London and the Houses of Parliament). Amongst the most recently built are the London Aquarium, Millennium Bridge, Millennium Dome and the London Eye.

The Merlin Entertainments London Eye (it’s full title), is more commonly named, just, the London Eye or,from time to time, the Millennium Wheel (because of the fact that it was built as part of the Millennium celebrations). The Merlin Entertainments London Eye was officially opened by the then British P.M., Tony Blair, on December thirty first unfortunately there were technical safety problems therefore it was not opened to the public until March. When first erected it was the highest Ferris wheel in the world being 443 ft in height.

The huge wheel can be found on the South Bank of the River Thames in Jubilee Gardens looking down upon the Houses of Parliament below. From within one of the 32 capsules towering over London it is possible to view a large number of famous London Landmarks, the already mentioned Houses of Parliament, Hampton Court Palace, Buckingham Palace, St Paul’s and Westminster Abbey are just a few, what an amazingly unique way in which to see nearly all of London and, the most likely, the reason it is one of the busiest paid for tourist attraction in London.

The first flight on the London Eye is at 10 am however the ticket office opens at half past nine in the morning. The Eye closes at half past nine at night between August and July, eight at night between April and October and at 9 ‘o clock at night for the other months.

Those traveling in a car will be pleased to learn that there are three nearby car parks. For coaches there is parking incredibly close to the Eye (Telephone) +44 (0)870 990 8886) for details.

The simplest way to get to the London Eye is by the London Tube, just get off at one of the following stations; Westminster, Charing Cross, Embankment, or the most convenient Waterloo. You can also travel by boat, get off at Waterloo Millennium Pier.

Finding hotel accommodation in London is as simple as popping over to Google, Yahoo or MSN (or any other search engine of your choice. Whatever type you prefer you are bound to find the perfect London accommodation because the city must have the most guest houses, hotels and bed and breakfasts than any other. Boutique hotels to the huge corporate affairs, cheap accommodation to the luxurious and plenty more.

Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland and also the most popular vacation destination in the nation an many tourists fail to see the enormous benefit of visiting the nearby city of Glasgow.

by Karl Fraser

Edinburgh is the capital city of Scotland and also the most popular vacation destination in the nation an many tourists fail to see the enormous benefit of visiting the nearby city of Glasgow.

Glasgow is a lively and vibrant city attracting more and more visitors annually. While most folk visit to enjoy the vibrant nightlife that the city offers more people are becoming aware of the many artistic and cultural elements of this fascinating city. Below I introduce the reader to three such places to visit in Glasgow.

The Glasgow School of Art: The building was originally founded in 1845 as the Glasgow Government School of Design, but in 1853 the school changed it’s name to The Glasgow School of Art. Originally it was located at 12 Ingram Street, but moved in 1869 to the McLellan Galleries. In 1897 work began on a new building to house the school on Renfrew Street. It was this new building that Charles Rennie Mackintosh designed, which was completed in 1909. The school actually spreads across 10 buildings, and it is The Mackintosh Building, or ‘The Mac’, as it is affectionately known, that is the heart of the campus. The Mackintosh Building also houses the Mackintosh gallery, which holds many different exhibitions throughout the year.

The House for An Art Lover: House For An Art Lover is one of Glasgow’s most popular attractions. The Art Nouveau House was orignally designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, Glasgow’s most famous architect, with the help of his wife Margaret Macdonald. The design was for a competition, in 1901, to design a House for an Art Lover. The Mackintoshs entry was disqualified from the competition, on the grounds of late submission. Over 100 years later, the house now stands completed in Bellahouston Park, thanks to engineer Graham Roxburgh and architect Professor Andy Macmillan. Building work began in 1989 but was then halted, and resumed again in 1994, due to the collaboration between Glasgow City Council and Glasgow School of Art.

The Peoples Palace: The People’s Palace and Winter Gardens are a museum and glasshouse situated near Glasgow Green. They were opened on 22nd January 1898 by the Earl of Rosebery, and were intended to provide a cultural centre for the people of Glasgow. The ground floor originally provided reading and recreation rooms. However, since the 1940’s, it has been Glasgow’s social history museum, and tells the story of the people and the city from 1750 to the present day. Attached to the People’s Palace is the Winter Gardens, an elegant Victorian Glassghouse where on can relax among the tropical plants, or enjoy the cafe.

Of course there are a great many more cultural attractions in Glasgow so when you are next planning a Scottish vacation you should investigate this stimulating city further. One final word is that you may have difficulty finding hotel vacancies at times so it is well worth booking your accommodation at the earliest opportunity.

The article below takes a look at the Scottish city of Glasgow, once the second city of the British Empire, and some of the places in and around the area that you may wish to visit if you choose to take a vacation here.

by Karl Fraser

The article below takes a look at the Scottish city of Glasgow, once the second city of the British Empire, and some of the places in and around the area that you may wish to visit if you choose to take a vacation here.

Bagpipes and tartan, as soon as you hear these words or see these two items, the odds are that the word “Scotland” will spring to mind (or vice versa). You usually see these items in a lovely piece of art or on a box of shortbread. While many see the history of Scotland as romantic many see the raw facts and accept that most points in the history of Scotland are punctuated by battles and bloodshed. Just looking across the stunning landscapes you will, in only a short distance, come across a historical site associated with the nation’s turbulent history. In fact these sites draw enormous numbers of folk each and every year.

Sometimes it can be difficult to get around to see a reasonable number of these important sites but if you choose to stay in Glasgow you will be pleasantly surprised how many superb historical sites are within easy reach. Below I take a look at three brilliant examples of the places you can visit when you stay in this exciting city, Glasgow Cathedral, Crookston Castle and Newark Castle.

Glasgow Cathedral

St. Mungo is the patron saint of Glasgow and the city’s most ancient Cathedral is dedicated to him. Glasgow has much to thank the saint for as it was he who first built a church there in the seventh century thus setting the foundations of this important city. St. mungo died in 612 and his original building was extended, altered and eventually replaced during the twelfth to thirteenth centuries. The Cathedral was consecrated in the year 1197, making it one of only a small number of medieval ecclesiastical buildings still standing following the destruction during the years of the Scottish Reformation and it is one of Glasgow’s most important landmarks.

Crookston Castle

Crookston Castle is most well known for being owned by the Darnley Stewarts. It was Henry Stewart, Lord Darnley who became the second husband of Mary Queen of Scots. The castle is a stone ringwork fortress and keep built, by Sir Robert de Croc, during the 12th century passing over to the Stewarts i the mid 14th century.

Newark Castle

George Maxwell built Newark Castle, in 1478, overlooking the Firth of Clyde on a commanding position on the south shore. Over the years massive structural changes were made to the building, not least by, Sir Patrick Maxwell who, in 1597, created a new north range. Some elements of the original castle can still be seen and the castle is now in the care of Historic Scotland.

The above is just a small selection from a very large number of Glasgow attractions and if this is not enough for you, you could always visit the nearby cities of Edinburgh and Stirling. These two cities will especially interest those have a fascination of castles. Glasgow really is hard to beat as a vacation destination in Scotland.

Out of all the hotels in Havana the most charming are the one located in Havana’s Old Town. Its location is privileged – only few steps away from the most amusing corners of Havana.

Among those fascinating hotels, it is worth mentioning the four-stars Hotel Florida, one of Havana’s most historic places for been one of the first hotels ever built in San Cristobal de la Habana (full name of the Cuban capital) in the Nineteenth Century.

Hotel Florida has 25 rooms. Four of them are suites, while the other 21 are standard rooms. The place exudes comfort through and through. The Bodeguita del Medio bar is not far away and visitors can find transport easily in the form of horse-drawn carriages which are parked outside the hotel.

This hotel opened to the public in 1899 and since that very moment, it has drawn the attention of travellers who enjoy stopping by and admiring its grand architecture style. Its roomy court yard is very cosy and invites you to seat and relax while sipping one of Havana’s most famous cocktails ‘El Mojito’.

According to some sources, it is believed that this hotel was built in 1836 and it was the residence of remarkable businessmen of that time. Among them, it can be mentioned the count of San Ignacio as well as the wealthy and paramount Spanish count Jose Eugenio Mor.

Only few decades after this palace was built it was abandoned. The palace lost all its charm until it was bought by an American entrepreneur who transformed it into one of the grandest hotels in Havana in the Nineteenth Century. Perhaps a coincidence but not to far from Florida Hotel is today?s most famous Cuban bar called Floridita which have franchises all over the world.

Hotel Florida can be your number one option for accommodation in Havana. Intimacy, excellent service and lots of character will make of your stay in Havana one to enjoy and remember as a fantastic experience.

If you are planning to take European tours, you may have understood that they tend to target the usual locations.

by Brad Morgan

If you are going to make European tours, you may have seen that they tend to focus on the usual places.

You may find endless tours advertised for cities like Paris, Rome, London, and Barcelona. But other European cities provide extraordinary attractions that tourists hear little about.

For instance, you may have never thought of going to Budapest, but “the City of Spas” and “Queen of the Danube” is a European attraction. Capital of Hungary, Budapest offers a wealth of history and architecture to lure any tourist. Even the citizens are held in amazement of this magnificent city.

Budapest’s Marvelous History

Budapest is a sightseer’s dream. Natural resplendence combined with amazing architecture unites to make a enthralling scene. There are also myriad activities to keep you occupied on your European vacation.

History scholars will be amply frequented by the city’s museums. Visit the Aquincum Museum and notice the ruins of the ancient Roman Empire city of Aquincum.

The Budapest History Museum and Castle Museum are the important collection of Budapest?s archaeological unearthings and developments of the area from Romanic age.

Check out the well known railway system at the Transport Museum. It is one of the oldest collections of its sort. The variety and scope of history which exist in these museums is mind blowing. You could visit time and again and still know something interesting.

A fragment of that diverse history is the story of Budapest’s Jewish population, and visitors can explore this too.

It can be hard to think that in this spectacular and stunning city, a half million people were taken to Auschwitz. Among the splendor lies a reminder of what tragedy was faced by these residents.

The Glory of Mother Earth

If you have physical strains, try visiting one of Budapest’s hot springs. These natural origins of warm water are believed to have powerful healing qualities.

These are utilized as thermal baths, and visitors come from all over the globe to this City of Spas. Each spring or bath has its own story of origin.

Its no surprise people journey across the world to come to Budapest. The Szechenyi Bath is enough to make it worth the stressful journey. Its hot and deep water make it a place of interest even in the frigid winter air. Nowhere else in Europe can you find such a large, and perfect, bathing complex.

As if soaking in a natural, outdoor thermal bath weren’t remarkable enough, Budapest also houses beautiful caves. Carved by the springs, these provide yet one more amazing attraction to explore. Visiting Budapest is not unlike visiting a paradise.

Tours are available through a small number of the caves. This is truly a tour that appeals to the mind and the body.

If you think Europe only stands as far as Rome and London, you’ll be pleasantly amazed to find that Budapest is very much worth the trip. Take a trip out of the normal and be awed by the magnificence of Budapest.

Staggering natural beauty, interesting and replenishing springs, a cherished account of history: Budapest will keep you captivated irrespective of which attractions you are getting an opportunity to go to. You’ll really never forget this unique, gorgeous city.

If you are interested in the gay scene in Cancun then you have come to the right place. Situated northeast of the Yucatan Peninsula, Cancun has a fantastic gay nightlife scene and its temperatures are refreshingly tropical. There is no greater place to sample gay clubs and bars than in this beautiful city.

While you are in Cancun, you should visit the various gay bars and clubs such as Risky Times, Club Backstage, Bar Picante and Karamba Bar.

Established in1986 and the last remaining gay club that open its doors in the 1980s the Karamba Bar, is an active bar situated on Tulum Avenue at the heart of the city. Open Tuesday through Sunday, everyone there is sure to be gay.

Modern music is played and the club opens at 10:30 pm. It can hold a total of 450 people and it aims to provide entertainment to suit all tastes. Typically, it is known as one of the best gay clubs in Cancun, so it is definitely worth a look whilst you are there!

Risky Times is where you want to be when you enjoy a livelier club experience. If you are searching for a rowdy after-hours club in the city, you definitely want to stop here to visit.

The doors open at 4:30 and people with all preferences of sexuality are welcome. Keep in mind that you enter at your own risk while visiting here, however, the interesting memories you take home, you will not soon forget!

One of the hottest new gay clubs to open in Cancun is Club Backstage. Its customer base is energetically young. It provides a classy chic dance floor that rocks on all night long with energetic trendy music.

Many people think that Club Backstage has some of the cutest waiters in Cancun too. So even if you just pop along to take a look at the waiters, you should definitely make a pit stop to this club during your stay.

Finally Bar Picante is another great gay bar in Cancun. It is one of the smallest venues but it does occasionally host drag shows and stripper shows. It is well known that good looking macho men frequently visit Bar Picante. That is what brings in flocks of gay men to the bar. It is also worth noting that there are a lot of working men there too.

Overall Cancun is home to a number of fantastic gay clubs and bars. The ones mentioned above are definitely some of the best available. So if you are planning to visit the city, make sure that you check out each of the bars and clubs listed.

The greatest sandy, sunny beaches…and thousands of gay people just for you. What else you can ask? Latin Hot Party is the very first great gay event in Cancun dedicated to all GLBT in the world, it is framed by one of the most beautiful beaches and embellished with the authentic Latin flavor.
