If you drive to the Island, there is a beautiful scenic drive around the island that will provide you with a wonderful vista of giant cactus, stunning bougainvilleas, and tropical flora and fauna.

Charter boats are available so you can enjoy cruising around the islands or fishing. There is a great sports fishing community on the island and over 50 species of fish that live near the island. Another popular island activity is biking. There are over twenty-two miles of bike paths on the islands and bike rental stations available for your vacation.

The J. N. “Ding” Darling National Wildlife Refuge offers over 6300 acres of a collection of wildlife for you to enjoy and see in their natural habitat. There are wonderful biking and walking paths and trails, canoe trails, and tram tours to explore the many mysteries of the Florida Islands and Inland.

The village of Captiva offers splendid restaurants and if you go to the end of Captiva Drive on Andy Rosse Lane you will find some great antique shops, art galleries, and regional shops that sell unique craft items. When you want to spend a night a the theatre, you won’t have far to go, there are two theatres within a short distance that has entertainment for both adults and kids.
