Universal studios and a few other studios, all have tried to reach upto the level of Disney Grad Nite by introducing similar all-nite parties but the Disney Grad Nite still stands tall as compared to its other contemporaries. Parents love to tell stories about the Disney Grad Nite to their high school graduating students. Everyone since’61 has been a part of Disney Grad Nite and only a few are unfortunate enough not to enjoy it.
This nite was introduced in’61 by Walt Disney. It used to take place in the Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom but this year i. E. 2009, it took place in Disney’s Hollywood Studios. It has been decided for next year it will again take place in the Disneyland.
Unfortunately some grads take unnecessary advantage of this night to indulge in activities like illegal drinking, doing drugs and going unruly and wild on the premises. This not only hurts themselves but also their fellow students. Not only you ruin your enjoyment tie but also the time of your fellows. Several students have been turned away from the gates when found in possession of drugs, alcohol etc.
Disney has taken some strict actions for discouraging such activities. Due to some unfortunate deaths and other accidents like passing out of students, the Disney has closed some places like the Tom Sawyer’s Island and Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. In the starts all rides and attraction were open but now Disney carefully chooses which ones to allow and which ones to close.
There is also a dress code associated with this night and only semi-casual wear is allowed. Torn or distorted jeans are also strictly prohibited. At one time, it used to be very much formal but now it just has to be clean and should casual. Students who do not follow the dress code have also been turned back from the entrance.
The night is marked by live performances which have been rated as the best part of the evening. These music bands and artists take the best part of the evening and the students go wild during these performances. Very well known artists and bands have given live performances each year in these grad nites. Students always rank it to be the best part as famous artists like The Last Goodnight, Lesley Roy, Ne-Yo, Omarion, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Fall Out Boy, Britney Spears, Jessica Simpson, Destiny’s Child and the Backstreet Boys have been within the reach of the grads.
Live performances by well-known and most popular artists are always there, every year. Popular artists like Britney Spears, Simple Plan, The Fray, The Last Goodnight, Lesley Roy, Ne-Yo, Omarion, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, Fall Out Boy etc. Have made appearances on these nites and have been drooled over by the grads.
Disney Grad Nite is not only the most anticipated event for high school grads but it also includes the anticipation of which celebrity will make appearance on that night. Enjoy Disney Grad Nite as much as possible and feel carefree throughout this event. You will see that it is truly the best event of your school life.
